Help & Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our clinic, online consultations, doctor qualifications, and electronic prescription delivery.

Are the doctors registered and approved to practice in Ireland?

Yes, 100%. All consultations and prescriptions at Allcare Medical Centre are provided by an Irish registered GP (MBBS, MRCGP, Dip Dermatology), who has over 20 years of clinical medical experience and is fully registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC). Our clinic is an accredited Healthlink provider for secure electronic transmission of prescriptions and referrals across Ireland.

How do Phone and Video Call Consultations work?

When you book an online consultation, you can choose between a Phone Consultation or a WhatsApp Video Call. At your selected appointment time, our doctor will reach out to your provided mobile number directly via standard phone call or WhatsApp video call.

How quickly will my prescription be sent to my pharmacy?

Once approved by our doctor during your consultation or online questionnaire review, your digital prescription is transmitted directly to your chosen Irish pharmacy via Healthlink (the secure HSE electronic messaging network) — usually within 1 to 4 hours on the same day.

How do I book, reschedule, or cancel my online consultation?

You can select your preferred date and time on our online calendar in seconds. Payment of the €35.00 consultation fee is processed through a secure payment gateway. If you need to reschedule or cancel, you can do so free of charge up to 4 hours prior to your scheduled time via the link in your confirmation email.

Can I receive work sick certificates or hospital referrals?

Yes. If clinically appropriate following your consultation, our doctor can issue an official medical work certificate (sick cert) or specialist referral letter sent directly to your email.

What should I do if I am experiencing a medical emergency?

Online consultations and prescription requests are not suitable for life-threatening emergencies. If you are experiencing severe chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden weakness, or heavy bleeding, immediately call 112 or 999 or attend your nearest Emergency Department.
